Ruffles and Caplets

This is what put me to sleep last night.  The thought of adding ruffles to my dress and wearing a caplet during the service. 

I am girly girly girly ... lol... and even in my wedding notebook I have bits of dresses and one of the images is of ruffles.  I think I need to follow myself on this one.

Although I am not a 100% follow the rules type of chick I do respect my mother a great deal.  And yes she did ask "Aaannddd what will you be wearing in the church??"  I think she will be pleased with my new inspiration.

Tattoo Love

When the dress hunt first started I had mother in mind...of course.  Cover up the tattoo is what I could hear her saying.

But something came over me... well that and I saw the picture of Melissa and her LOVELY art work on Green Wedding Shoes . 

It was over from there and I am now on my tattoo mission.  I have a cross on my back that is in NEED of a face lift.  The goal is to have that done in a few short months so my art can look as lovely as all these Tattoo Brides!

What to do...

Drama Day Dreams

Planning a wedding can be ...mmm.. stressful at times.  I am sure at those times just like any stressful point in life we tend to day dream about running away.

After watching one to many My Fair Wedding any time I put on my dress I hear David saying it's the only time you'll get to wear a wedding dress.

As you know by now my dress isn't even white from the lil pic I showed you. And after seeing one to many brides look lovely in their wedding dress I feel like I want to get in on the fun.

Noooo I am not getting rid of my dress and starting over BUT defiantly thinking of the changes and additions I want to do.

A pop of color

While day dreaming over wedding images I was inspired by the napkins.  To save on cost  I thought of buying the linen and then passing on to the next vintage bride.  The whole process went to the next level at the thought of different pretty napkins laying on each persons plate.

What a treat right ... to get to your plate and see what lovely color or pattern will be waiting for you.

After a fun filled Saturday of vintage linen shopping the spree rolled over and Monday I was on esty seeking pretty finds.

Eager Hands had these two pretty sets in her collection.  I bought them asap.

CinfulOldies made me so happy with these bright images.  I'll be looking for more of these in my search.

Flower Little Lady

Today the plan is to scout out Flower Girl dresses.  Seeing I am not doing the poofy look I thought mini me ca def rock the look.  However I am dreaming of her in something short and poofy just a lil knee cap showing would be too cute with sandals.  So unsure how her mother feels about the look....BUT I am the brides ssoooooo....

Here are a few inspirations in mind. The crazy thing to me is how much the lil gowns cost!  I mean geesh do I really have to pay more for her dress then I did my own... I think not!

So while I look I'll be keeping a close eye on the price tag.

E - Pics - Date Set

I am way to excited about this portion of the engagement!  Well I guess until the wedding band shopping goes down...

For now my energy and excitement is all about the engagement photos.  The boo and I have chosen Vice Roy Hotel in Santa Monica.  It is a perfect blend of both him and I and was also one of our first few date locations.

While at work day dreaming of a lovely location images of us at the beach or in the woods seemed so random and not real.  And then Vice Roy popped in my head and I think I squealed a bit and went right to Goggle image ... here are just a couple of images found:

My wedding photog is Caitlin Bellah Photography.  I am really not into the traditional wedding image look and knew right away 1. I needed some one creative and 2. they had to get my vintage eclectic style.  Caitlin stood right out to me.  She is no wedding photog ( but she has done a few) and that is what I LOVED the most.

Pretty Flowers

I am not one of those girls that wants roses for my birthday or Valentine's Day...but this wedding has me day dreaming over flowers.

I have been working with my florist putting a list together of lovely flowers to use.  here is a list of a few:
Roses - of course
Hydrangeas
Lysianthus

Apparently I have expensive taste..even with flowers.

Celebrity and Prego Wedding

This is what I am talking about!!!

I know or hear of brides running of to get married real quick before the baby bump really starts to show.

Ms. Keys shows chicks it can be done ...in WHITE at that.  I know she had to wait a bit before the hubby's divorce papers were signed and completed but we don't need to ruin this lovely image with drama.

DIY #1

Table numbers are just another wedding detail that until I started planning my own I never paid much attention to.

This image below changed my whole outlook on just a number on a table.

So let the games began. 

1. I wasn't going to use numbers but rather titles for each table such as Love, Gratitude, Wisdom, Faith, Honesty... words that should be apart of all relationships in our lives.

2. I couldn't use random frames, styles and colors as the table is going to be a bit much already so I stuck with white and cream color ...here are a few:

Not bad on price although it did add up at the end but the goal is to find another lucky Vintage Chic Bride after me who is willing to buy them for half the price.

So now I just need to get to work on the design which will look similar to my inspiration but with words instead of numbers....which of course is going to be the task...wish me luck!!
